Chair Repositioning Workshop 

 

Overview 

Challenges occur with chair repositioning when a certain chair type doesn't suit a client anymore and when the environment makes it hard to reposition the client. We work with the attendees to establish what scenarios they find difficult. We are aware that resources are set and team members have to work with what is available. However, there are occasions when repositioning a client is not sufficient and specialist seating may be required. We will highlight how to recognise the indicators, when a seating referral may be appropriate and who to refer to.

 

Duration: 2 hours, Certified 2 CPD points.

Venue: This workshop can be completed in-house with current team members (max 10).

 

Outline:

• This is a comprehensive review of chair repositioning using equipment.

• The cause of profile changes in chairs is discussed and what indicators you identify to refer for a seating assessment.
