Job Description

In the past few years, we have been inundated with requests for our Occupational Therapy services and more so in the last year as we have started providing step-down services in nursing homes preparing their short-term residents for a return to their own homes. We work closely with the nursing homes and all stakeholders (residents and their families and community support). We provide training to home carers and full assessment of the patient’s home to ensure safety and to increase their ability to live as independently as possible.

As such we are looking for Senior Occupational therapists who are as passionate about older adult healthcare and independence as we are.

The role mainly consists of physical health OT skills such as assessments and interventions in areas such as specialised seating systems, positioning, functional abilities and environmental adaptations.

We would like to hear from candidates who are comfortable with complex seating issues, housing adaptations and have good knowledge (or are interested) in areas related to improving the engagement of older adults with Alzheimer’s or related dementia.

Full initial induction training, shadowing and in-house in-services and company training days will be provided. Additional external CPD opportunities will be given to the successful candidate. An interest in research and development and previous experience of working in long-term residential care in any capacity would be very beneficial.
